In Tour: Hong Kong x Chengdu

Supporting by “Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) organisation support programme (OSP)”,  the inTour: Hong Kong x Chengdu features an iconic exhibition through Virtual Reality (VR) and multimedia platforms, to showcase award-winning design projects of Hong Kong interior designers.  An Interior Design Seminar, to be held on 10th November 2018, will bring highlights to the event, the Seminar will feature keynote forum of prominent interior designers from Hong Kong and Chengdu, aiming to provide intercultural perspectives to interior design practice.

inTour: Hong Kong x Chengdu Seminar - Designer Dialogue in Interior Design Business between China and Hong Kong

HKIDA is pleased to announce that inTour: Hong Kong x Chengdu Seminar will be held on 10th May 2019 at Eaton Club. This seminar is designated to open the door for Hong Kong interior designers to better understand the interior design industry in China market, as well as to foresee the upcoming trends and to exceed client’s expectations.

Featuring 20 Hong Kong Interior Designers’ projects in the format of photos / video / 360 photos.  The exhibition will bring innovative Virtual Reality Experience (VR) to the audience ing Virtual Reality (VR) experience.

Speaker Profiles

Joey Ho

Chairman, Hong Kong Interior Design Association & Design Partner, P A L Design Group, Hong Kong

Joey Ho draws his creative inspirations from the far-reaching corners of Asia. Born in Taiwan, raised in Singapore, graduated from The University of Hong Kong (Master of Architecture) and The National University of Singapore (Bachelor of Architectural Studies). Each of these culturally diverse yet artistically vibrant qualities have played their parts in fashioning Joey's unique and avant-garde perspectives of the world. Joey has established a high profile clientele in corporate, residential, education, hospitality and various sectors, with projects over Hong Kong, the Greater China region, Singapore, India, the US and Australia. To-date, Joey's designs have won numerous internationally recognized awards. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Interior Design Association,the director of Hong Kong Design Centre,course consultant of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education and advisory committee member of Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, actively involves in promoting the development of the design industry.

Horace Pan

Vice Chairman, Hong Kong Interior Design Association & Founder, PANORAMA International Ltd., Hong Kong

Horace Pan, a Hong Kong design figure famous for creating story-telling and unique spatial experiences of various commercial interior disciplines, obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design and Master of Arts degree in Design from School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He established his award-winning design practice PANORAMA in 2003 and received over 150 international awards. Pan HeHPanPPp now furthers his professional career in the field of design education and is the assistant professor at School of Design, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and serving as the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Interior Design Association and 2011-14 Executive Board Member of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). Pan received Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Designers Award and China Entrepreneur Award in 2008 & 2010 respectively. Pan was the only Chinese among the 10 invited international designers in 2011 Taiwan International Interior Design Exhibition. In 2014 Pan received Hong Kong & Shenzhen Outstanding Achievement Designer Award in recognition of his contribution to the interior industry development over the past decade.

Kyle Chan

Founder, Karv One Design, Hong Kong

Kyle Chan, Founder of Karv One Design, the champion of World Youth Designer Forum, prominent new generation designer in Hong Kong, partner and design director of SISDOO Interior Consulting & Engineering Co., Ltd. Asia Pacific region, finalists for best 100 of JDC Design Awards, merit recognition of the 40 under 40 Awards and DFA Design for Asia Awards, winner of the interior design gold medal of "Asia-Pacific young designer award" and Best of Year Award of United States Interior Design Magazine “Interior Design”. Chan is good at creating scenes and experience, advocating “Design beyond eyes” and emphasizing on the emotional resonance between people and the space so as to manifest a lifestyle and brand with unique cultural connotation. Chan highlights the interaction among city, brand, space and people in his design of commercial complex with such design elements as shopping malls, brand stores, bookstores, hotels, offices, residential, etc.

Ken Cheung and CM Jao

Founder, Oft Interiors, Hong Kong

CM Jao and Ken Cheung, graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Design in 2008 & 2007. After graduation, they have worked in renowned architectural and Interiors Design Houses respectively. During their work, CM and Ken involved in different design aspects such as commercial space, shopping mall, high-rise residential building, retails, and recreational.

Oft Interiors is found in 2013 and operates seamlessly as one solid unit due to its founders, CM and Ken share the same core design values and have a common goal. Oft’s objective is based around creating interesting, young and dynamic design to the Hong Kong Interior design market. OFT guides every project from conception to completion with passion and commitment. Oft serves clients from Hong Kong and China which focus in the field of cinemas design with more than twenty completed award-wining- projects, such as A’ Design Award & Competition Italy, APIDA Hong Kong, German Design Awards, International Property Awards and The American Architecture Prize.

Wesley Liu

Managing & Creative Director, PplusP Designers Ltd., Hong Kong

Wesley Liu is an interior designer who was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Australia. He obtained his Master’s degree in Design from COFA in 2007. Wesley founded PplusP Designers Ltd. in Hong Kong in 2009 and a branch office in Shenzhen in 2017. About his design journey, after two years he left the prestigious design school, having previously worked with other renowned architectural firms. In these 11 years, he doesn't only won over 200 famous international interior design awards, but also strives hard to promote the exchange of young designers in the Asia Pacific region by being a judge and committee member of the various interior design competitions.

Ricci Wong

Founder/Art-chitect / Designer, RAAW Limited, Hong Kong

Wong Cheuk Kin (Ricci Wong) is an architecture trained artist. Graduated in Fine Arts & Architecture, Ricci founded the Fotanian studio in 2011 which led to the formation of LAAB in 2013 and made over 100+ public art & design projects. He left LAAB and pursued his own new career RAAW in 2016, focusing in Public art installations design, & interior design. Ricci’s works brings joy, creatives, and playfulness to surface, while being pragmatic of practicality and buildability, he believes real designer know things how to build, without losing the essence of joy. His latest work includes the permanent interactive crystal chandelier art installation of size 7m x 3m in Park Yoho clubhouse & Summer Pavilion in Yoho Mall Yuen Long. They resemble his ideology of design, craziness of crafts, and unstoppable passions.

張燦

Founder / Creative Directory, 四川創視達建築裝飾設計有限公司, Chengdu

張燦,四川創視達建築裝飾設計有限公司創始人兼創作總監,是一位高級室內建築師 建築學碩士。他亦是四川音樂學院成都美術學院專聘教授、西南交通大學環境藝術系客座教授 – 研究生導師,以及四川國際標榜職業學院環境藝術系特聘教授。

張氏是中國建築學會室內設計分會理事,2013世界室內設計大會(WIM)作為西南地區唯一代表,在阿姆斯特丹的 “中國日”上代表中國設計力量演講。他獲得2014年國際地產中國公共室內空間高度推薦獎,和2015意大利米蘭國際生態設計獎最佳生態老建築改造設計獎。
