CPD Declaration

HKIDA has always championed the professionalism of interior design in Hong Kong and successfully taken a further step since last year by launching the Certified Interior Designer programme. We are delighted to share with you that in the effort to further foster and enhance HKIDA members’ professional knowledge and skill set, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policy will now also be applied to HKIDA Certified Interior Designers and Full Members, accelerating the progress of and the public confidence in our members and our industry at large.

CPD activities can range from formal educational activities such as training courses, workshops or seminars, to more informal approaches such as work-based learning or mentoring sessions. CPD can also include self-guided study or research such as any structured reading programs and deployment of Internet resources. Members shall submit the CPD declaration form annually. CPD declaration form will be required to submit within 2 months after the recording period.  Members also need to record their CPD activities on the Log Sheet to keep for at least 1 year, subject to random checks therein.

To ensure that all HKIDA members keep up with our industry-recognized standard, members are advised to undertake a minimum of 15 CPD credits per year. Please note that failure to fulfil the annual CPD requirement or to submit the CPD declaration form may lead to reconsideration for both membership renewal and membership certificate application.
