April 2014 HKIDA Happenings HKIDA MEMBERS NETWORK I - 2014 HOW DOES MUSIC PLAY ITS ROLE IN FUTURE HOMES?   Music, being the universal language for mankind, plays an important role in people’s lives. How to equip an unperturbed, cozy but melodious home is one of the essential elements in interior design nowadays. On 28 Feb 2014, HKIDA partnered with BOSE and PCCW Media Ltd. to host a forum to discuss the issue. Held at the Garden Suite of Peninsula Hotel with glamorous and stunning harbor view, more than 60 members of HKIDA who were professional designers and friends of design counterpart participated in this enjoyable and inspiring evening.             The guest speakers (from left to the right) Lawrence Carpio of BOSE, Derrick Lo of PCCW, Antony Chan, Chairman of HKIDA, Joey Ho, Vice Chairman of HKIDA and Horace Pan, Vice Chairman of HKIDA shared with the audience the latest technologies and trends of audio equipment as well as how they are applied to interior design.             (Left) Edith Wong of French Chamber gave us an introduction and update on Maison&Object Paris in this occasion. (Centre and right) Participants enjoyed sharing and networking in the relaxing setting.         The presentation ceremony of membership certificate was held. New members were awarded the membership certificate by Chairlady Louisa Young.

Industry News IFI UPDATE Leading to IFI’s 50th year and our pivotal 2011-2014 board term, we have been exceedingly busy. I am delighted to report that we have achieved all of our term and strategic goals for the advancement of both IFI and Interior Architecture/Design.
