August 2015 HKIDA Happenings HKIDA@ SmartHK, Jinan (May 2015) by HKTDC Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organized SmartHK at Jinan, China in May 2015 with the theme of the signature promotion is industrial transformation and upgrading. The main objective was to promote Hong Kong’s total business solution to mainland enterprises. As one of the Supporting Organisations, HKIDA showcased creative works from the Between Walls Space Design Installation, Young Designers Exhibition, Open the box: DIY Furniture Workshop. In addition, a series of seminars were organised for in-depth discussions on how Hong Kong services can help companies upgrade and transform. Mr. Wesley Lui, our Executive Committee Member, was the delegate of HKIDA to be the guest speaker of “The Thematic Seminar on Interior Design and O2O”. Following the previous success since 2011, the SmartHK connected Hong Kong’s service providers with potential clients on the Chinese mainland, including the manufacturing and retail sectors.
