HKIDA PRESERNTS “THE INTERIORS INTELLIGENCE” EXHIBITION
HKIDA has presented the “Interior Intelligence” exhibition to celebrate World Interior Day 2016 on 4 June 2016 at the APM shopping mall in Kwun Tong. The artworks had been displayed at APM during 4-10 June and also the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre during 14-16 June.
World Interior Day is an annual worldwide event initiated by the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI). This year’s theme “Interiors Intelligence” taps into the comprehensive knowledge needed to continue to bridge gaps in the Interiors profession and to foster a greater appreciation for, and connection between, the built environment and its occupants.

The exhibition is the result of collaboration between the renowned design firms and the local interior design students to produce a unique spatial experience about a send of who we are, and of what we can be. We are honored to invite five design companies to lead the students, which includes Krispace Design Consultancy, OFT Interiors, PAL Design Consultants, RN Design Studio and Steve Leung Designers. Those students come from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design, Hong Kong Design Institute, HKU SPACE Community College and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers.

Other than our members, we are honored to invite mentors and mentees who have joined our Logbook System, to share their experience of the scheme. Logbook System’s aim is to raise the professional standards of interior design in Hong Kong by ensuring that interior designers acquire sufficient professional knowledge and skills. It pairs up HKIDA’s Professional Members with young interior designers in a 24-months long mentor-mentee relationship that is beneficial to both parties. During the sharing section, we are glad to know that the scheme could help professional interior designers nurture the younger generation.
